I recently bought 9.1 pro, installed it, broke it, and reinstalled it ;-),
It's running well now except for some reason this second install is having
problems with my sound card, The first time I installed it set up my Audigy
card with no problem. The second time it said it recognized it but I had no
sound. I checked the obvious things like the volume being down or something
set to to mute, but I had no luck. After doing some google research I found
a post from someone with a similar sound card who had the same problem. He
posted a solution which was to do this: 'amixer -c 0 cset numid=163 mute'.
That worked for me, but now everytime I boot up I have to run that. Can
someone tell me what that does, and how I can fix it permanently?

Thanks.
