Menu icon update applet

I've got 9.1 installed with all of the latest updates. One thing that
mystifies me is what happened to the program applet that updates your menu
icons in the Menu bar. I'm referring to the program that scans everything
installed on your harddrive and updates you menu screen with all of the
icons of the newly found and installed software you have on your system. I
can't seem to locate it anymore and the Icon for it has disappeared. Any
help would be appreciated.
