Currently running KDE 3.1.5 on Suse 8.2

I am trying to upgrade the base KDE, the rpms are from Suse

Am encountering this error

"error: failed dependencies:
        kdebase3-SuSE <= 9.0 conflicts with kdebase3-3.2.3-5"

Is this an error I can overcome by forcing the install or am I asking
for problems?

1) Which I don't need

2) Probably couldn't recover from (I am no guru)

I tend to know enough to be dangerous at this point, Thanks

Mike
