amavis and Kmail

I read that amavis can be used together with postfix, which I use. To get
my mail from other people I use POP3 in KMail. Is this a direct "channel"
or do the mail go through postfix first?
Is there a way to set up KMail or Amavis so I can filter the messages with
viruses directly into a virusfolder in Kmail. I have antivir as
antivirusscanner.
