Hi,

I just ordered:
ASUS P4P800 Deluxe motherboard
Pentium 4 2800GHz HT processor
2x512MB PC3200 400MHz memeory
2x Western Digital SATA 80GB 8MB hard disk
ASUS FM TV card, Philips chipset
ASUS ATI 9600 Magic/T 128MB VGA card
Apacer 7in1 multi card reader
LG Double Layer DVD+/-RW
LG 16X DVD-ROM
E-yama 17" tft

I opted for Intel and not AMD64 (i have 9.1 Pro) because i could not
find all the neccesery 64-bit drivers.

I was thinking of the following HD partitioning:
(Beginning of disk): Extended partition 70GB for both disks
(End of disk): Primairy partition 10GB for both disks.
Extended partition (both disks):
(Beginning of disk)
1GB for swap
1GB for /boot
68GB as software RAID 0 for /
(End of disk)

The 1GB /boot partition is not necessary i can conclude from the new
swraid howto.
Question:
Is it helpfull or should i omit it?
Question:
Can i install a bootable Windows on one of the primairy partitions?
Question:
Can i install a bootable test Linux on the other primaire partition?
The WD SATA HD's are on separate SATA connectors.
The DVD's are on separate ATA connectors.
Question:
Can i still boot from the dvd's? Or at least on of them?

Any tips?

Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Armand
