Hi Roger,

Bit more info needed please:-

When does it lock, KDE, Gnome, Console?
What are you doing when it locks?
What hardware?
Have you updated anything or installed non standard Suse stuff?
Do your keyboard leds flash?

Instead of pressing reset ( you stand to lose data and probably corrupt
your fs ) enable Sys-req in Yast>system>editor for sysconfig it is in
the System>Kernel>Enable Sysrq menu, this might give you the chance to
sync the disks by pressing various combinations of keys
( For further information see /usr/src/linux/Documentation/sysrq.txt )
