Live CD stops loading at PCMCIA

I recently downloaded the 9.1 live iso and burned a bootable CD. I tested
it out on my son's computer and it worked, so I believe it was a good
download. However, I cannot get past the PCMCIA load on my computer
(desktop).

I have a SOYO MB with an Athalon 1300 Mhz processor and 256 RAM. Also, a
Knoppix live CD works perfectly on this computer.

I checked the BIOS for PCMCIA statements and didn't find any. Any ideas on
what could be wrong or how to bypass this statement?

Thanks,
Gene
