I use Kopete with Suse 9.1 and connect to Yahoo via Jabber. The Gaim Yahoo
authentication code has been ported to the Jabber Yahoo-transport so most
Jabber servers arouond the world (including mine) was fixed within 2 days
of being broken ;)

Maybe use one of the free jabber servers to connect to Yahoo until Suse/KDE
folks fix the Yahoo authentication code?

BTW - my jabber server isn't free, it's a private toy :)
