I'm using 9.1 on a laptop (ASUS 8400CE base) I have configured ACPI to
suspend to disk. It works great, except that after I resume from the
suspended state the fan behaves badly. It comes on when needed and then
does not switch off. I can make it switch off by unplugging the power
(when I replug it normal service is resumed).
Writing to:
/proc/acpi/fan/FAN/state
never has any effect. Does this mean the fan is controlled by the BIOS
independantly of the OS?
Any idea how to fix this. Unplugging and replugging the lead is an
inelegant solution!
