And if Windows came with a simiar assortment, it would probably cost
$20,000 (assuming $10 per program) and everyone would *expect* upgrades
(not updates) with it.

If it were included, _you'd be paying for it_! Get a grip, you are *not*
paying for all this software. The software is free (in most cases); what
you are _paying for_ is SUSE's time and effort in packaging it together
in one convenient place and generally tesing that it all works.

Completely wrong! SUSE *does* update the packages. Update, damn it,
*NOT* upgrade! Updates fix bugs, security holes and so forth.

If putting forth some effort to learn about, and improve, your computer
and OS and software is too much for you, don't complain about it here.
Just use your computer for what you want and leave the curiousity and
problem-solving to others. Exactly what I do with cars -- I just use
them and couldn't care less about fixing them or 'tricking' them out,
and I'm happy with that. Just be happy with using your computer, since
learning about it 'is lame' . . .

No, they are not. Your mis-perception of what they offer is not their
responsibility.

Yeah, do it like that POS Windows, make one directory and dump
everything in the world there. Sheesh! Didn't the 'KDE' in the path
even *begin* to impinge on your consciousness?

That's *EXACTLY* what UPDATES are ALL ABOUT: bug fixes and security
fixes. If you want to bitch about something, bitch about Win98 being
not much more than bug fixes for Win95 YET YOU HAD TO PAY FULL PRICE
for the privilege.

For $60? Are you high? Better think about buying a better quality of
drugs -- the ones you're using now are seriously damaging your ability
to think! :-)
