Dual PII300? Sounds like the machine is getting on a bit. Have you tried
running a memory test on it, to see if there is a problem with the memory
chips? (soak testing it with something simple might show up other problems,
a dodgy connector, dry solder-joint or something of that ilk.)
Also try removing all components, cleaning the connectors and reseating
them. It could just be something coming loose or too much dust in the
works...
