howh to 'downgrade' back to a previous kernel version...

I have dutifully upgraded the kernel and sources to 2.6.5-7.95...
Now I am trying to install Vmware, and I get the following errors when
trying to run vmware-config.pl...

I read in a post somwhere that this problem can happen with the newer
kernel... OK - so how do I jump BACK to the older one?
OR - does anyone wknow of a fix for this...?
