Okay:
I've been playing around a bit here. I want to upgrade Firefox from 0.8 to
0.9x. Seems simple enough.
I try to use YaST to read my /home/kai/downloads directory. It seems to want
to install from CD.
I then try to use YaST to add media from ftp.suse.com and I get the message
- Unable to create installation source from URL 'ftp://ftp.suse.com/'.
Details: ERROR(InstSrc:E_no_instsrc_on_media)
I've tried other directories like pub/i386/9.1, but I get the same message.
I then tried apt, based on a recommendation by someone here. I got that
installed and then downloaded sources, but it seems to have a conflict also
- I want the GUI tool, Synaptic. I downloaded this and ran ./configure.
Well, it told me I needed xmlto. So I tried apt-get install xmlto. It tells
me it is unsigned and won't install. I try Yast again - no luck there,
xmlto isn't found when I search.
Ideas?
