I've never tried to use Krecord (well, I have, but I could never quite
get it to work).
I've used Audacity to record, with considerable success, but I often
find I have to experiment with different choices for the input (sound
source) before I get sound. Perhaps you need to do the same with
Krecord, or perhaps you would simply have better success with Audacity
or another recording app.
BTW, I have recorded .WAV files from RealPlayer using Audacity -- not
from broadcast streams, but I think it should work the same, because I'm
pretty sure Audacity is simply picking up what's fed through the sound
card, once I've selected the correct input to make it do that.
Good luck.
