Repair of Win NT after Installation of Linux

Hiya,

I installed the SUSE Linux 9.0 Evaluation CD after Windows NT 4.0.
Everything worked fine until I had a problem with my NT installation
and tried to repair Windows NT.

Thereafter, NT doesntīt boot any moore, giving error messages (DISK I/O
error: status = 00000001) of corrupted or missing files like
'..\system32\c_1252.nls' and others.

I was able to copy over some of those files from another NT
installation, but this doesnīt work with the file
'system32\drivers\Ntfs.sys'.

I then did an installation of NT onto another system, with the same
media (from CD and over the network), so I can be sure that the
installation files are not corrupted.

So I guess that there is a problem with the GRUB-Loader provided with
Suse Linux 9.0. Although Iīd like to migrate to Linux completely, at
the moment I still really *need* a few of my NT applications.

Can anyone tell me how to overcome this problem. Well, I might
uninstall Linux - I even donīt know how to do this! - , then Reinstall
or Repair NT, then Reinstall and Reconfigure Linux again. If there is
an easier way, please let me know.
