Running SUSE 9.1 (ftp version), KDE 3.3. Hardware: GeForce 5200 graphics
card, Nokia 446Xpro monitor. Have installed nVidia XFree86 drivers
(nvidia). The monitor should be capable of running 1600x1200@85Hz.
But when I run the monitor at 1600x1200 pixels, I get some really annoying
flickering on the screen. That is, the problem only seems to be there when
I open multiple windows in KDE. When no windows open at all, the screen is
fine. More open windows -> more flickering (white horizontal lines (1
character long) flickering vertically over the screen).
(also, when I write this, the flickering gets more intense. Seems like
every time the screen is redrawn in any way, flickering gets more intense)
When running at 1400x1050, there is no problem.
Anyone seen this before? Or even better - anyone with a solution to this??
