The evaluation will (if it's anything like mine) be missing a lot of things
you might want later on (and will have to download... which sounds like
something you're keen to avoid).
I know it's not what you probably want to hear, but having myself been
persuaded that a freebie Suse was the best Linux distro for my hardware
precisely because of the success of an evaluation install; and having also
ruled out the idea of an FTP install, because I'm only on dial-up; well...
it wasn't difficult to persuade myself that AU$90 was a small price to pay
for the boxed set of full-blown 9.1.
You might cut through all the hassle and instabilities and concerns by
similarly deciding to pay a relatively modest amount for a nice collection
of 5CDs and 2DVDs. It's definitely worth it.
