The deal is, Yahoo makes it's money by advertising. When you use
Mozilla, you can stop popups and block flash etc. more easily than
with IE. Not only that, but I can't get their page to work in Mozilla
under any circumstances. Yahoo won't even work in IE if you block
flash and cookies. They've designed their site (using ActiveX most
likely) in a way that turns off several of their buttons if you don't
allow advertising to appear. So yeah, designed for Microsoft
effectively. And the problem got worse exactly about the same time as
their recent "update" to larger capacities for the accounts. Don't
know if Wine could be used to run IE in Linux and have the site appear
normally, but why would you want to run that leaky garbage anyway?

Probably time to look around for another and better web email account.
