Yes, that sounds right: you have the eval CD iso and *NOT* the free
personal edition iso. The personal edition is a complete, installable
system. The live eval runs directly from the CD.
Sheesh. You might take the trouble of verifying what it is you're
complaining about.

Why are you comparing XP, an OS-only installation, with SuSE - an OS
accompanied by a shedload of free applications and tools? Once again, you
should verify what it is you're complaining about.
Also SP1 & SP2 aren't upgrades, they're PR excercises masquerading as
product fixes. (and they fail on both counts)

Nonsense. I know kids of 15 or so who have no problems with upgrading a
kernel. And you were born knowing all about the Winblows registry of
course?
