I was following that thread with some interest because I was considering
purchasing that P650 Matrox video card.
I found it odd that Mr. Kohlmann seems to be the only person on earth that
can make that card do dual head mode with a stock SuSE 9.1 installation.
I made a call to SuSE support and was told that the board does not work
with Suse 9.1 in dual head mode and that I should contact Matrox for
support.
I am looking at 25 desktops that are going to be upgraded from G200 boards
and I need an accurate answer before I waste my money.
Suse says it doesn't work.
It is not in the SDB hardware database.
XFree.org says it does not work.
Google for P650+dual+head+linux shows that nobody has been able to make
this work.
So I too would like to know how Peter made this work if indeed
he really did?
Peter?
The ball is in your court.
