I had to do this after a m/board failure while running suse 8.2
On boot, the system took me to a configure screen where setting up was
straightforward.
I had to update the kernel as the the provided did not fully support the
board.
Broadband had to be reregistered with the provider to register the new mac
address. This was simple by setting the browser to the providers web site
and this took me automatically to a page to re-enter the details.
