I'm new to Linux, just installed it the other day. I'm having trouble
playing back mp3's and such using various SuSE 9.1 Personal players.
Songs playback triple speed (at least). I looked into the situation
with drivers and found none were active. I found out that I needed to
install modprobe au8820. When I tried
running that command, I got the message FATAL: module
not found. Then I ran [b:403b851782]modinfo
soundcore[/b:403b851782] and received this:
alias: char-major-14-*
license: GPL
Author: Alan Cox
Description: Core sound module
vermagic: 2.6.4-52-default 586 REGPARM gcc-3.3
What the frig does that mean? Where can I find
[b:403b851782]au8820[/b:403b851782] & when (if) I find it how do
I install it?
