If you take a look at
http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=HP-LaserJet_4L
you will see, that there is more than one printer-driver for a HP
Laserjet 4L.
My guess is that YaST has installed the 'hpijs' driver at your computer.
Quite frequently the 'ljet4' driver works a lot better, try to install
your printer with that driver instead.
