IMO, this is fine, especially for a novice who is probably just wanting to
take a testdrive with any Linux distribution as a typical workstation. The
subject gets a lot more "interesting" (read: arguable) in server setups or
more complicated scenarios.
In general, unless you have detailed questions (based on actual install or
use glitches), you're usually OK with the SuSE installer suggestions.
Here, you're left with 7 GB disk; for a testdrive, that should be plenty.
Partitioning and swap discussions often get "religious" in my view, so you
can be prepared if a flamewar breaks out--it's not of your doing. :)
