USB printing, in general, is well supported. I'd make damned certain the
epson works before I'd buy one; in the past Epson has been well known for
making boat anchors as far as Linux is concerned. The good words for Linux
printing are: postscript and HP-PCL. If what you have is compatible with
either of them, you're home free. I have done a Lexmark USB laser printer
on a RH 7.1 system, and a Samsung USB laser on a Debian (knoppix) system.
