Thanks for the suggestion. I tried disabling ACPI and all power management
in BIOS, and installing with acpi=off apm=off, but still had a freeze
during installation. The "safe installation" also disables the DMA, but I
would assume that's not a problem.

I have bought almost every professional version since 6.0, except this one
which I got through the resource kit. SUSE SDB seems to be down right now.
I'll check later when it's back up, and if I don't find anything, then I
guess I'll wait until 9.2, hopefully they fixed whatever is wrong with 9.1.
