Alan,
Your ifconfig readout would lead me to believe that the card is seeing the
router because it shows your link quality and signal levels as zero.
Are you sure everything is ok with the router? Do you perhaps know soneone
with a laptop and a wireless card who can check to see if your router is
actually accessible?
I'm also concerned that the eth0 entry shows no IP entry for the card. Have
you used yast to give the card an ip address?
Just for grins, what does a "netstat -rn" command give you?
