Well, if the XP machine is on the router, just plug the spare machine into
the router as well, nothing easier! Once the Mandrake machine is connected
to the router and has an IP address (either through DHCP or manually
configured - and if manually configured, don't forget the gateway and DNS
addresses will also need to be given), it will be on the internet within
seconds.
For an offline "browser" like Agent, do you mean news or Web? I thought
Agent was an OLR (off-line reader), I use KNode, but Pan is allegedly more
Agent like. You could also have a look at Sylphead (not sure on spelling),
that also comes with SuSE. Tin also seems popular, but I haven't tried it.
For offline browsers I have no idea, I've never used offline browsing under
Windows or Linux, don't know if Firefox, Mozilla, Opera etc. support
offline browsing, never tried...
