Install SUSE 9.1 with floppy boot

How to install suse 9.1 with the option of booting it by floppy? Is it by
selecting manual installation on that green menu after selecting the
language and country setting? Is it possible to give a step by step how-to?

I don't want linux to change anything on the MBR. I just want it to "sit" in
the partition that I have prepared using partition magic. Elsewhere should
stay the same as it was. Because last time I did an installation (the
default one) with specifying the grub to be installed in the linux
partition, but i think it ends up modifying the MBR and results in
unbootable XP (I was using boot magic). I have to use fdisk /mbr to recover
it. Also I have to delete all other partitions to get Partition magic and
bootmagic working again.

Maybe it wasn't grub that mess things up. I read from several posts that the
default installation also do formatting for you (by defualt). So could it be
this process that change the partition table that upset PM and BM? If so,
how to avoid it to format the partition during instalation?

The following questions only apply IF it is the default formatting that mess
things up AND IF I can bypass the default formatting. What is the prefer
file system for suse? I can choose only ext2 and ext3 from PM. Do I need to
prepare a linuxswap partition as well?

Thanks in advance
