    Hi Johnny,

    Just a thought:-

    In Yast, Do you have the SB as the first card?

    I have my SB/Live 5.1 ( old version ) set as card 0, and my onboard as
    card 1.

    I use my AC97 for my headset and mic, and the SB as system sounds etc..

    I had the onboard disabled and then cleared all from Yast and started
    detection again and configured the SB first, made sure that all sounds
    came from the SB and then rebooted and enabled my onboard and
    configured that.

    I use a child panel off kicker and added 2 separate "sound mixer"
    applets which gives me complete control over both cards with all the
    sliders, the reason I use these mixers is to get over the initial
    problems Suse 9.1 had that is shown in this SDB article:-
