Can't enter as root

Hi. I don't know why but I can't enter as root in SuSE 9.1 Personal KDE
desktop. I entered once, then I updated the system (via YOU) and now, when
I try to login as root the Yast window is shown and if I close that I'm
back in the login window.

Do you know why?
