Suse 9.2 Dell touch pad

I'm unable to get the tap to work with my touch pad. The pad will move the
curser but it is unable to tap. I've used yast to reconfigure the pad but
it still won't allow my to use the tap selection.

My Laptop us a Dell lattitude CPX 650 I've never had problems with it under
suse 9.0 or 9.1

any ideas on what to check next ?
