I've an Epson 1260 photo since "two years" and it work great with Linux. Two
minutes to configure it. Don't use tarball on a rpm distribution. Just
download latest sane and xsane rpms for your distribution and install them.
Epson 1250 use plustek driver I think, like my 1260. Normaly, your
distribution will recognize automaticaly your scanner.
So don't listen "foamy" suggestion. Like many of this group have said: He is
a wintroll and he don't know anything about Linux.
