I had one built to my custom specifications, it cost a little more than a
standard machine and a lot more than a budget AMD64 machine, but the
machine flies. The local dealer built it to spec, so I got exactly the
machine I wanted, plus a guarantee. No cut corners (at least none that I
didn't specify cut... Namely the soundcard, the Asus Mobo had a built in
AC97 7.1 surround chipset, but I upgraded to an Audigy 2ZS about 2 weeks
later, the soundchip couldn't cope with surround sound in games, it kept
breaking up under load).
It runs SuSE 64-bit great and XP as well as can be expected. I love the
swappable disk caddies, makes dual booting a piece of cake ;-)
