Hi fish!
False alarm on the gnome-panel and why I don't know. I had been
running gnome prior to starting up kde and it seemed to leave around some
artifacts even though I logged out completely and went back to a kdm
prompt.
I have traced it down to a combination of using xmms and kaffeine at the
same time.
I have been running juk, pan and kaffeine for 2 days or so under kde and I
have not had a problem.
If I start xmms within 10 minutes it starts swapping and all hell breaks
loose.
I am going to try alsa instead of arts and see what happens.
I'll keep ya posted!
