same issue here...tried to install on hp vectra vl400 and lines moving
across the screen when trying to load gui install; other options (safe
mode, etc) don't make a difference. also tried it on a new dell
optiplex p4 2.8 and complains x can't load but text install goes fine.
tries to run x and video goes off. pressing power button brings video
back in text for shutdown process. had no problem with installing red
hat 9 but suse 9.2 just isn't working well.
