|When I access the FTP server via a WEB browser, I am not prompted for
|authentication and I am placed in the /srv/ftp folder. When I access the
|FTP server via a Windows command line, I am prompted for authentication, and
|am place in the users home directory (as I've configured in the vsftpd.conf
|file).

|Why the difference?
When you access a ftp site with a web browser, it automatically uses the
user anonymous. You can specify a user and password in the URL.
