Anyone out there seen these probs on 9.1 64bit:
Getting a CPU overload error, ( KDE freezes for about 10-15 secs ) in
Arts when it is enabled and system sounds try to play, Arts is then
stopped and all is fine but no sounds.
If I try and start Klineakdconfig to configure my keyboard extra keys I
get instant mem full and swap goes crazy, if I can drop to init 1 it
stops and then can go back to init 5 ( this is independent to the ARTS
problem, does not matter if it is on or off )
On posting a message with Knode the mouse pointer goes to the spinning
egg timer ( large one not the arrow and timer ) and will stay spinning
for as long as knode is open and the pointer is within the knode window
bounds, if I move it out then it changes back to the normal pointer,
even though everything functions normal, the only way to stop it is to
quit knode and start it up again, does not happen with any other app.
All updates with You, ( problems occurred with standard install as
well ) updated KDE to 3.3.1 still no difference, kernel at 2.6.5-111.
This is a new install of 9.1 64 bit so no old 32 bit apps hanging about,
happens with my old home as well as any new users so cannot see that it
is any configs I might have carried over
Nothing related in any of the logs I can find.
Everything else I have tried ( not much been busy ) seems fine at the
moment.
Might try the kernel of the day next see if it is related.
Clues? I need them :)
