iPod and Linux gtkpod question

I managed to get gtkpod going under Linux SUSE 9.2 and it seems to copy
and play files fine.

However, I have one major problem and that is how do I "eject the iPod
mini"

IOW I get the circle with the line through it even after I umount the
device.

With Apple I hit eject.
With Windows I use "Safely remove Hardware"

How do I do this with Linux SuSE 9.2?

I am using Firewire BTW.
