Problem with Kinternet

   Got this strange intermitant problem with kinternet. After
connecting to the Internet, the connection will stay up for about a
week. After that the connection will drop (I don't recall seeing any
posted reason). When I try to reconnect, I get the message in the
kinternet log that "The network is down" repeatedly. The only way to
clear the problem is to reboot Linux. Using SuSE Linux 9.0. Any ideas
on what is wrong?
