In Belgium there is a provider that has a modem that will enable to
connect 2 machines to the Internet. They each get their external IP. It
is more a modem then a router and more a moneytrap then a modem.
You have no longer a local network. If you want to make a connection to
the other PC, you go over the Internet. That is not the case here as he
can get to his Windows from his Linux and the other way around as weel.
Just wanted to let you know that things like this exist.
