The problem is that 90% of all drives here are NTFS for stability and
security. And just as it is not feasible to switch everything over to Linux
at this time, the same holds true for the file system for the windows
machines. Do you have any experience with "Captive"?

Losing a partition is never enjoyable, but fortunately, I maintain regular
images of my important partitions, so restoral is just 20 mins. away.
