Problem with adjusting volume (ICH5 + ALSA on SuSE 9.2)

Hi!
Anyone else having problems with an Intel 865PE-chipset motherboard (MSI
865PE Neo2-FIS2R) and adjusting volume on the integrated soundcard?
Moving the volume slider in different programs has no effect (XMMS,
alsaconf, Kmix).
I'm using SuSE 9.2 and ALSA 1.0.7.
