Annoying login feature

Dear friends,

I have several user accounts on my SuSE 9.X boxes.

Now, when I execute a reboot, SuSE automatically log in to the user account
that was defined during installation. I don't like that! How can I change
this behaviour?

What is worse is that anyone can log in (at any time) using this account
without specifying a password; you simply select the user, put the cursor
in the password field and hit the return button. I have tried to change the
password; however, the annoying feature still exists. Surely, there must be
a way to password protect other users from logging in using this account,
or...

Can anyone help me with this? How can I change the default login behaviour
of SuSE 9.X?
