I'm on 9.1 Personal. On boot, I have to choose a user and enter my password.
Then I have "Login" and "Menu". Under menu, I have these options: "Restart X
Menu" and "Shutdown"
What you're saying is that this is where a "KDE / GNOME" choice would be, if
I had it?
