Howdy NG,
My install of Suse92 did not detect my PCI modem. I'm researching the problem
and have determined my chip set and have tried to download the patch and install
it. Each patch is for an exact kernel level. My kernel is not listed so I picked
a couple of them that were close. When I try to install the .rpm using YAST, I
get the message:
No pre-built modules for: SuSE-9.2 linux-2.6.8-24-default i686
Please obtain the appropriate variant of this package for your system
or try the generic RPM or tar version.
error: %post(hcfpcimodem-1.03full_k2.6.8_24.11_default-1suse) scriptlet failed,
exit status 1
I googled this newsgroup and found a lot of threads with similar problems. Can
someone give me some tips on where to go from here? I need help in the process
of building the module.
Thanks in advance,
David Carter
