I have just bought a Hauppauge 350 PVR and it does not seem to work.
I put it in the first slot and in the last slot with the same results.
When I ran the TV Card from Yast, it did not recognise the automagically
like it does with other hardware. I then installed it manually.
I choose 'Hauppauge WinTV PVR' as that is the one I have. I have tried
the others as well.
When I scan the channels in Yast, I get:
Warning: no plugins found [/usr/X11R6/lib/xawtv]
Number of TV stations found: 0
As the cable is not yet connected, it is normal that it does not find a
station. It however does not seem to be looking for anything. Also there
is no /usr/X11R6/lib/xawtv, even though I installed xawtv.
I then put in a channel manually. (It is winter I would love to see snow
on my screen. :-) and go on. Afterwards I launch kdetc and it finds no
devices.
I searched the web and came up with nothing that helped me. What I can
give is that 'modprobe bttv' gives me nothing. Also:

What can I do to get this thing going?
