DSL setup

I am looking at the previous post and haven't seen a quick answer- so if I
missed one please -I apologize. I am attempting to setup SUSE 9.1, with a
Westell DSL modem and a Linksys router for the home network. Suse detects
the card and the network is setup for DHCP auto IP adressing. But when I
connect with Kinternet noting happens.

Any ideas where to start looking.
