If you have a router there is nothing to configure,
especially not with kinternet.

If the router has your ISP Login details (user,
password) it will automatically connect, when a
request goes out of your home network.

All you have to do is to setup the network card to
DHCP. The router is the DHCP-Server which gives the
card a valid ip, mask, and gateway.

Dump all "Dial-in" or "DSL" Connection Software on the
computer. Requests will then go to the Default Gateway
(The Router itself, as assigned by DHCP) and trigger a
connection.

Maybe (maybe not, sometimes it works without) you have
to edit your /etc/resolv.conf and add a line:
-----------------------------
nameserver 194.25.2.129
----------------------------
or whatever the nameserver adress is your ISP uses (ask
them).

Because every request for an IP in the world behind the
router needs a DNS-Query first, and because the
nameserver is outside, the router can trigger a
connection.
