How do you proceed with a new SUSE release? This is what I do.
1. Backup important productivity files.
2. Install new release from scratch
3. Copy important productivity files from backup
4. Download and install all packages starting with "libxine1" and
"w32codecs" from packman.
4. Change default folder icons from blue to yellow.
5, Download latest crystal icons and copy action icons to "default icons".
6. Change KDE colour scheme to "Thin Keramik",
7. Choose "tree view" for file management and "simple web browser" for
cyberspace in Konqueror.
8. Download and install Opera for rare occasions when Konqi chokes.
9. Install all available security updates during 6 months via YOU.
10. Wait for the next SUSE release.
